Communities of the Earth, together with Agora Partnerhsips will be participating in the event:

BUILDING SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES: an event celebrating the power and potential of women entrepreneurs in Central America.  Carol Lancaster, the dean of the school of foreign studies of Georgetown will be doing the opening remarks.  It will be on april 25th, in Washington DC, at the Guatemalan Embassy at 6:30 p.m. Suggested donation is of $40, going towards Communities of the Earth and Agora’s work.  If interested, see the link below>

Communities of the Earth has been working with three great partners, that are inviting people to become part of the creation of Wakami Villages.  Through their sites, people can partner with rural families to access products that are good for the economy, the health and the Earth.

Vidanta Award: Communities of the Earth won the third place prize Vidanta to reduce poverty and inequality in Latin America.

The ceremony of Awards to the three winning organizations will be held on 14 October in the Auditorium of National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City.
